Overview

Our clients represent market and government leaders across multiple business sectors and spanning five continents. From Fortune 50 to up-and-coming, from public to private, from biotechnology to aerospace – Bear Code provides experienced application development.

Because some of the work we do for our clients is inherently confidential, we strive to act in a manner reflective of that responsibility. Therefore, we take the general position of not posting our clients' names and business on our website. Our responsibility is to represent their best interests, even in how we market and promote our services. We feel this reflects our commitment to our clients and is an important consideration for prospective clients.

That said, certain clients have permitted us to promote our relationships with them as examples of the quality of Bear Code work.

AMD/Coatue

Coatue is one of a handful of companies in the world developing organic memory, or so-called thin-film polymer memory (TFPM). The Coatue technology originated in a Russian lab in Siberia. Originally funded in part by AMD, in 2003 Coatue's technology was purchased outright by AMD.

Bear Code helped Coatue migrate the TFPM technology and technology team from Siberia to the Coatue offices in Boston, MA.

Global Haptics

Global Haptics is the developer of the geOrb, a patented computer mapping technology that enables users to shape and navigate in 3D simply and intuitively. The geOrb is the brainchild of Michael Wallace, an ex-Sandia scientist. The geOrb is the first hardware device that actually maps physical space.

Bear Code developed a Beta CAD program for use with the geOrb, as well as a Plug-in for the 3-D modeling application, Rhino. Discussions are ongoing for Bear Code to develop a similar Plug-in for Alias Wave's Maya

Roxar/VEGO 3D

Roxar, along with Schlumberger and Halliburton, is one of the premier authors and distributors of reservoir analysis software. Reservoir analysis software requires extremely sophisticated 3D visualization approaches.

In late 2004, Roxar purchased the rights to the VEGO Suite of reservoir analysis software tools. The VEGO Suite was the product of Softplast – a Bear Code partner company.

20/20 Gene Systems

20/20 Gene Systems is a young biotechnology company that is chasing the promise of 'personalized medicine'. Winners of the 2003 ASM Resources Early Stage Venture competition, 20/20 Gene Systems has been the recipient of NIH, TEDCO and MD Bio grants and has forged partnerships with Novarits, OSI Pharmaceuticals and Celgene.

Bear Code's project with 20/20 Gene Systems was a 3D image analysis application to be used in conjunction with their Multi-Replica Blotting (MRB) Kit (Xeroxed copies of Westerns from a single sample). The successful application development was a commercial proof of concept of the MRB technology and allowed 20/20 Gene System to close a distribution deal with Kodak's Scientific Imaging Systems Unit, and to secure TEDCO and MD Bio grants.
